HomeVenture Roofing crew installing a new roof on an Evansville home.

Picking a roofer is hard. We make it easier.

Roof replacement, repair, gutters, and siding in Evansville and nearby communities.

A new roof costs more than most things you’ve ever bought. The work happens up high where you can’t see it.

If it’s done wrong, you might not find out for years. By then, the roofer could be gone.

We do it differently. We take photos at every step. We put our promises in writing. We give you everything when we’re done.

You stop hoping the work was done right. You see it.

No pressure. You decide what’s next.

Here’s what nobody tells you about picking a roofer

Most homeowners pick a roofer hoping for the best. The bid sounds fair. The crew looks busy. The reviews seem okay.

Here’s what nobody tells you: even good crews have off days. The lead is tired. The new guy misses a nail. The weather rushes a step. Sometimes it doesn’t matter. Most of the time it does.

If your roofer doesn’t take photos at every step, you’ll never know which day you got.

Two years later, the roof leaks. The contractor is gone or won’t return your calls. You’re left holding a $20,000 bill for work you can’t prove was done wrong.

We built HomeVenture so that doesn’t happen to you.

Three things that make mistakes impossible to hide

A photo of every step

We take a photo when the old roof comes off. When the wood underneath gets checked. When the waterproof layer goes down. When the new shingles go on.

Photos alone aren’t enough. I personally do the final quality check on every roof before we close the project. If a step got missed or done wrong, I catch it before we leave. You see the same photos I do.

Seven promises in writing

We put seven specific promises in writing before you sign. No vague handshakes. No small print buried in the contract.

A folder you keep forever

When the job’s done, you get everything in one place. Every photo. Every warranty paper. Every promise we made. Every material we used.

The photos come to you digitally so you can pull them up any time. Show them to your insurance company. Show them to whoever buys your house. Pull them up the day your roof turns ten years old. They’re yours forever.

Seven promises in writing. Before you sign.

Most roofers say “we’ll take care of you.” That means nothing in three years when something goes wrong and they’re not picking up the phone.

We do something different. Seven specific promises. All in writing. Every word in your contract before you sign. Read them, ask about them, take them home to think about them.

  1. 1

If the shingle company says no, we still say yes.

Shingle companies sometimes deny warranty claims. They blame the roofer for installing it wrong. You’re stuck fighting a billion-dollar company by yourself.

We fix the leak immediately and we fight that battle for you.

  2. 2

    Nothing sharp left behind.

You won’t be pulling nails out of your tires, your pet’s paws, or your kids’ bare feet six months from now. If you find more than 20 roofing nails on your property within 30 days, we send you a $500 check.

  3. 3

Your roof helps you sell your house.

Most roofers give a 5-year promise that ends the day you sell. Our promise covers 10 years and goes to whoever buys your home next. Your roof becomes a selling point in the MLS listing, not a question mark for the buyer.

We also promise:

  • A best-value match (find a lower comparable bid within 30 days, we match it plus pay you $500)
  • Free post-storm inspections, any time you ask
  • Extra leak protection (if your roof leaks under the written terms, we fix it and pay you $500)
  • Every component installed to keep your manufacturer warranty valid for its full term

Seven promises. In writing. Before you sign.

Five questions to ask any roofer before you sign

The cheapest bid often comes from someone cutting corners you can’t see. Here’s how to tell the good roofers from the rest.

  1. 1

Will they show you photos of the work?

Every crew has off days. A nail missed. A step skipped. Photos at every step combined with a thorough inspection of the finished work are how mistakes get caught and fixed before the roofer leaves. If they don’t take photos, you have no way to know if your job was the day they got it right.

    See our documented process →

  2. 2

Are their promises in writing before you sign?

A handshake means nothing when something goes wrong in three years. A good roofer puts every promise in writing. Read them. If they’re vague or full of small print, walk away.

  3. 3

What happens if the shingles fail?

Shingle companies sometimes deny warranty claims. They blame the roofer for installing it wrong. A good roofer fights that battle for you. You shouldn’t have to fight a billion-dollar company by yourself.

  4. 4

Does the warranty transfer when you sell your house?

Most roofers give a 5-year promise that ends the day you sell. A good roofer gives a longer promise that goes to the next owner. That makes your roof a selling point when you list your home.

  5. 5

Who’s actually in charge of your job?

Big roofing companies hand your job off to whoever is free that week. A good roofer has the owner involved in every project. You should know the name of the person who’s accountable when something goes wrong — and you should be able to reach them.

HomeVenture answers yes to all five. Most roofers can’t.

Why I built HomeVenture this way

I’m Justin Stark. I grew up in Evansville. I’m an engineer by training, not a roofer. I’m wired to care about specifications and details.

Before I started HomeVenture, I hired contractors for my own home projects. Most of them were good people who have been doing it for decades. But I learned something most homeowners never find out.

Even the good ones have off days. They cut a corner because they’re behind schedule. They use a cheaper material because the truck was running low. A step gets skipped. A nail pattern gets missed.

Sometimes the house loses shingles in a storm two years later. You pay for the repair. The new shingles don’t match the old ones. The contractor is gone or won’t return your calls.

So I built HomeVenture differently. We take a photo at every step. We walk every job and inspect the work in person before we leave. We write down every promise. I personally meet every customer before we start.

Not because my crew won’t have off days. Because they will. The photos and the inspection are how we catch it.

My family lives in Newburgh. We have two young kids. I’m not going anywhere.

If something goes wrong with your roof, you have my word that we’ll make it right.

Justin Stark, Owner

Here’s what changes when we’re done

You stop wondering if the work was done right. You have photos that show every step.

You stop worrying about what’s in the small print. You have promises in writing.

You stop dreading the next storm. You have a folder you can hand to your insurance company.

You stop thinking about your roof. That’s the point.

A new roof should be the kind of thing you stop thinking about. We build them that way.

What homeowners say

"Presentation and proposal were very complete. It included details, and pricing of alternative materials; even the sealing products, nailing procedures were spelled out. Owner (Justin) was able to answer and address all questions and concerns. Home Venture was not necessarily the lowest bid, but we went with them after considering the professional, and comprehensive proposal… Installers did not disappoint. Crew worked professionally and efficiently."

What makes us different from other good roofers

You’ve probably found a few roofers who look qualified on paper. Real reviews. Real warranties. Years in business.

Picking between good roofers is harder than picking between good and bad ones. Here’s what makes HomeVenture different from the other good roofers in the Tri-State.

  1. 1

    The owner closes every deal.

Larger companies hand you off to a salesperson, then a project manager, then a crew lead. We stay small for a reason. The person you signed with is the person who answers for the job. That’s Justin.

  2. 2

Every step is documented and every finished job is inspected.

Good crews follow good steps. But doing the work right and showing you the work was done right are two different things. We take photos at every step. I personally inspect every finished roof before we close the project. Photos catch what happened at each step. My inspection catches how the whole system came together.

Most good roofers know how to do the work. Fewer of them put the proof in your hands and verify the finished job in person.

  3. 3

We protect your property like it’s our own.

A good crew can have an off day on property protection too. The tarp slips. Landscaping gets crushed under foot traffic.

We document your property before we start. We use mesh tarps that protect plants without burning the grass. We walk the protection setup before any tear-off begins. Your yard, your plants, and your walkways should look the same when we leave as they did when we started.

  4. 4

You get a folder of everything at the end.

When the job’s done, you don’t just have a new roof. You have a folder with every photo, every warranty paper, every promise we made, and every material we used. Most roofers leave a finished roof. We leave a documented one.

  5. 5

The warranty helps you sell your house.

Most good roofers offer real warranties. Ours is built to transfer when you sell your home. The remaining coverage becomes part of your home listing. Your roof stops being a cost on the house. It becomes a selling point.

The certifications matter. The crew matters. The reviews matter. But the documentation, the owner’s hand on every project, the care we take with your property, and the warranty that goes with the next homeowner are what make HomeVenture’s offer different from the other good roofers in town.
